MMO world time

Looks like I am in need of mmo game to play again but cant decide what to try out. Latest I played was TERA,TESO, FOrge of gods, FF14, GW2. WOW is not my gerne. But i am looking for rpg fantasy based mmo, that still got decent amount of players and still looking good for new players to enjoy. Or should I wait for some new to come out?

You could give WildStar a go since it has gone free to play. Dunno if sci-fi fits your fantasy needs though.

EDIT. Ok I'm calm now. Holy crap, I've considered that thing dead for several years now. I even creater a twitter account with the sole purpose of asking Tad Williams how it was going. He answered, but I cannot for the life of me remember what the answer was.

Honestly I've not read the books. The Early Access release popped up in my inbox, and I was like "What?", and jotted it down for my weekly series.

(seriously though, they're one of my absolute favourites in fiction, but they take a fair amount of time to get through, he's not afraid to take his sweet time to get the story done, which is a good thing and incidentally Shadowmarch is also very good and my brother says Memory, Sorrow and Thorn is super swell as well but I cannot abide those covers and I refuse to be known as a guy who reads things that look like this, which yes is totally unfair because I've read way, way worse looking things than that but still)

Seriously though, I don't have high hopes for the game, for obvious reasons, but still.

Yeah, F2P MMO's that start in Early Access, I don't have great expectations.

I play Tera on and off. It's pretty good. Also the there is no pay2win all the stuff you buy with money is just character customizations stuff no actual useful weapons or armor.

I am looking at Wildstar (currently downloading at home), not sure if it will assuage that need I've had from leaving WoW so many years ago. If you have a top pick that would replace WoW, what would it be?

WoW was allways at the bottom of my list I played it for about 1 day And I didnt like it. I would consider of trying out wildstar.
Seems I still need to buy it coz F2P is in closed beta atm. I wonder if I should buy it or wait for F2P.

Archeage was fun for me while I was playing. However I am now playing ESO.... but still F2P....

Its a pretty unique game, you have gliders for flying.... you can buy your own personal farms and grow things.

My favorite part was the commerce.... You could build your own trading ships to travel across the game ocean to the enemy continent and sell your speciality goods. the farther you moved from where you made your pack, the more you make.

EDIT: I forgot too, you can BUY Property to BUILD a house.... ranging from Small to Mansion sized houses that are WITHIN the same zone you play in. (Designated housing/farming areas)

At first you have to carry the packs on foot, then you can build a tractor that carries 2-6 packs at once, then you can build a Cargo ship which carries 20 packs at once. Fishing boats are also alot of fun.

Theres much much more to the game I am missing... but its worth checking out.

I liked Archeage when I was in the beta, but there are too many game-necessary items that you can't get unless you're paying the real cash. Just turned me off of it. thanks tho

True, I am sure the game has probably gotten worse as well in terms of Pay 2 Win. LoL.... I enjoyed the game while I played though.

I actually enjoyed Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning a lot back then - was the only MMO that I enjoyed as much WoW. Too bad it never gained much traction.

Wildstar and Rift are good though.

Edit: Atm I'm mostly playing Grim Dawn.
