Hello all. My question is what mobo would be best to buy to upgrade my dell xps 730 h2c to an i7 processor. I have an nvidià 790 sli ultra mobo right now and need to upgrade and still be able to use the cooler and be able to use the master control board that controls the led lights and fan settings. Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated

The XPS 730 H2C uses a Socket 775 motherboard. It only supports Intel Core 2-type processors. To install a Core i7, you would have to install a new motherboard, too. You need to check the front-panel connector to see if it's standard or Dell-proprietary. You also need to check the power supply pin-out, for the same reason. I suggest you search for "upgrade motherboard dell xps 730 h2c" and see if other people have successfully done this.
