Modify GTX 750 Ti BIOS

Hi,

I want to change the minimum frequency on my video card but I can't figure it how with Maxwell BIOS Tweaker beacuse I did modify where it said 135 MHz to about 800 MHz but when I flash it, in idle is still at 135 MHz for some reason. Nibitor can't recognize the BIOS.

Here is the full name: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 750 Ti OC2 WindForce 2X 2GB

I want to modify the minimum frequency beacuse I have some lags in Final Cut Pro (hackintosh system) and I found out that doesn't ramp up at all in the program.

So how can I change my GTX 750 BIOS the minimum frequency when it's in idle ?

Thanks !

modern GPU can switch between minimum clock speed to save power during idle
and automatically adjust itself to maximum clock speed/boost when heavy workload

you could try to adjust using some well-known tuning software such as ASUS TWEAK, MSI AFTERBURNER and so on
those program provide utility to adjust GPU clock curves during idle and load

please don't ever try to flash BIOS if you are don't know full consequence of bad flashing,
especially when lower end card don't have BIOS switch utility

I don't know if there are utlities for macOS to change GPU clocks but maybe you should check the lastest Nvidia Web driver?

Also try changing SMBIOS to MacPro3,1 if you are not using it.

I have hackintosh with the 750Ti and the clocks scaled correctly according to HWSENSORS

i would try nvinspector:
https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html

and if you open the overclocking Tab then you can select which profile you want to change

I think the OP is having issues only on Hackintosh (macOS operating system on PC), so Windows overclocking programs won't work :)

i think on a hakintosh it should work and its based on nvidia drivers.
easy to try-2 minutes and he and others would know if its working.
TIA

i could be completely wrong

Time for uh.. I don't know what program Crapple uses for running .exe files but maybe running a thingy to run something like afterburner?

Yep, on Hackintosh in Final Cut Pro the frequency of the GPU doesn't get bumped up for some reason (in OS X games there are no problems) and that's why I need to edit the BIOS of the GPU directly. I searched for OS X overclock solutions but nothing. So modifying the BIOS is my only solution.

LOL macOS can't run Windows .exe programs natively! the only way is using Wine, like in Linux but I don't think OC programs can be run through Wine, because it needs to get direct access to the driver and I don't think Wine implemented it :)

ups
I am sorry, its seems I misunderstood OP's OS

I wanted to say Wine but I was thinking Linux. I'm not savvy in both worlds either way but I think you got what I was trying to say.

@Derek12 you deserve a cookie for not being blind :)

OP, follow this guide - http://www.overclock.net/t/1522651/disable-boost-and-bake-in-max-game-stable-clocks-for-maxwell And you will need a PC with Windows OS.

EDIT: i just managed to open/edit your cards BIOS in "Maxwell ll Bios Tweaker 1.36", use that one instead of Nibitor.
