Monitor out of range after upgrading to 5600 XT

I recently upgraded from my R9 390 to the xfx 5600 xt. After installing the card (using DDU to uninstall old drivers) I got the out of range sign on my monitor. I then used the iGpu to install the amd drivers.
Now the out of range sign only shows during startup (so I cant see bios) and when launching new games (the monitor for some reason now defaults to 1920x1200, even though the correct resolution is 1920x10800, I assume this is the problem but I dont know how to fix it).
I am just looking if there is any fix for this, or else I will unfortunately be returning this card, even though noise level is so insanely quiet coming from a loud 390 :/

Specs:
Gigabyte Z97 Gaming-3
i7 4790k
16GB DDR 3 Ram
Acer K272HL Monitor
Newest Windows version, tried both recommended amd drivers and newest

What kind of cable do you use to plug the monitor? VGA or DVI?

If VGA, buy a DVI to HDMI cable. If DVI, make sure its a DVI-D cable.

If it doesn't work, try another monitor or TV.

I use HDMI. The gpu only supports HDMI and DisplayPort, but my monitor only has HDMI. Unfortunately I do not have another monitor I could try

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I already installed the monitor drivers aswell. Also I just checked and DDC was enabled.

Make sure "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" is disabled, its monitor settings.

If 1920x1200 is listed, its probably a problem in the monitor's EDID (a list of modes supported by the monitor).

There are 3rd party tools (like Custom Resolution Utility) that you can use to override it. Use with extreme caution.

The "hide modes" is disabled, but if I go to adapter and look at all modes, the 1920x1200 is listed there. I just downloaded Custom Resolution Utility, but I dont see this resolution there.

Try to uninstall drivers, run AMD cleanup utility, and then run DDU from safe mode. Use the latest WHQL driver.

That is exactly how I installed the drivers when I got the gpu. The big problem now is I cant go into bios or into safe mode, as both of these are not displayed. I tried to go into safe mode once, and I had to remove the gpu and use the iGpu to go back to normal. If i just shut the pc off and plug the cable into the motherboard, I still get no signal.

I wanted to suggest that you try older AMD driver or another cable. But if the BIOS doesn't work, maybe you should consider returning the card. Nvidia's GTX 1600 series are good too.
