The Bluetooth radio standard for computers, cell phones and their peripherals, was named after Harald Blauzahn and is a tribute to his abilities to unite several principalities into one great kingdom. The logo shows the initials HB in the form of a monogram (binderune) of the runes Hagalaz and Berkano.
Bluetooth [ˈbluːtuːθ] is an industry standard developed in the 1990s by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) for data transmission between devices over short distances using wireless technology (WPAN). It allows connectionless as well as connection-bound transmissions from point to point and ad hoc or piconetworks. The name "Bluetooth" is derived from the Danish king Harald Blauzahn (Danish Harald Blåtand, English Harold Bluetooth), who united parts of Norway and Denmark under his rule. The logo features a monogram of the Old Norse runes ᚼ (H as in Hagalaz) and ᛒ (B as in Berkano).[1]
The radio methods for Bluetooth were originally developed in significant parts by Dutch professor Jaap Haartsen and Swede Sven Mattisson for Ericsson. Other parts were added mainly by Nokia and Intel. Bluetooth forms an interface through which small mobile devices such as cell phones and PDAs as well as computers and peripherals can communicate with each other. The main purpose of Bluetooth is to replace wired connections between devices. If two devices are to be connected via Bluetooth, this must be actively initiated by a user on at least one of the devices, for which there are different procedures in practice - depending on the device types, among other things. The process of connecting is called pairing, and the devices are paired after it is successful.

If you are out in public with paired devices, make sure that you don't call your devices by the name you are called; e.g. Hannah Schneider iPhone NYC/Brooklyn.
iPhone is sufficient in this respect. anonymity is only possible if you don't reveal everything the technology allows you to.
You can also walk around the area and find people if you want to. If you don't necessarily use bluetooth, you should turn it off. Reaching distance approx. 30m // ~100 feet.
The use of Bluetooth poses high risks on many Android smartphones. The reason is a security vulnerability that allows attackers to read out personal data and introduce viruses on affected devices. Closing the gap is not possible on many devices. The same applies to laptops with external keyboards and mice.
Wood's eye be vigilant.
