P.S.=> I have an ENTIRE section of "gaming addons" in my downloads folders, so I will take a peek & point to URL's for them (IF I can still determine them), OR just attach them here for his usage... & I'll try to "keep it current" too!

I say that simply because I have stuff from AGES ago for things like Quake I, II, DOOM I, II, Wolfenstein 3D (original) & yes, more... per this thread:

That would be a GREAT REFERENCE for wiak (if he chooses to use it)...

It's mostly for IDSoftwares older stuff though, for making it better!

Pretty cool stuff, in that some of it is good for making those older games DO OpenGL (they weren't coded that way initially... well, Quake II was, but not the rest)...apk

On today's machines? Those OpenGL patches to older First Person Shooter type games noted above??



Man... THEY FLY!!!

(Hey - they were designed 1992-1996 or so, for 386/486/early Pentium machines... even w/ the OpenGL overlay overhead, they flew on a Duallie Pentium III I had!)

* They will run like a dream on today's rigs... especially HIGH-END ones!

P.S.=> The OpenGL "Tenebrae" port for Quake I is the TRUE test of this, & on my machine in my signature?? Even IT flies... & it's the heaviest of the lot in that thread... apk

92-96, I bought it in 2002 lol, its amazing how long things take to come online it was in a rig with a 2Ghz P4 N'wood and 512Mb DDR400, was a good rig but I payed about £900 for it, thankfully in 2004 I got a job in a comp shop and learnt all about building and basic repair, wasnt ever any good @ fixing complicated stuff, but atleast I can build and know the basics if something goes wrong or I come on here and usually get my answer from you APK

* Hey, I got answers from folks here on overclocking & hardware info. that I let "go slack" since I moved from hardware tech/network engineer type jobs around 1992-1994, to coding 1995 onwards, bigtime!

(Just getting "square w/ the house" is all, & what goes around, COMES around + for every action? There is an opposing & equal reaction, etc. et al, lol!)
