More Steam Bans

Wow, another 30k accounts gone.

Today Valve disabled more than 30,000 Steam accounts which had been used to try to illegally gain access to Valve games without a valid purchase. Valve takes such activities seriously and reserves the right to disable Steam accounts engaging in piracy, cheating, illegal activities, or any other activity in violation of the Steam Subscriber Agreement. The accounts that are disabled today will not be reactivated.

hm i wonder if they keep all the names that are banned from never being used again...im sure most of the 30K of people had some pretty good names, would be a waste for them not to be used again

there's probably a 5-10% error margin there with the disabled accounts.. i assume that valve will enable accounts on a user to user basis assuming they can provide proof of purchase etc. etc... cause i know there are people out there that got banned unjustly.
