as i understand it the wireless optical mouse uses radio wave frequencies to signal imput to your computer.

i have 2 computers in opposite rooms positioned against opposite sides of the same wall so the operators would be facing directly at each other, computers back to back.

if i buy an optical wireless mouse for each will they interfere with each other at such close range?

when i asked the compusa guy this question he went on break and still hasn't returned lol.

what say all you wise forum readers out there?

Well, if they are far enough apart, you should have no problems. Personally, I'd expect the mouse to have enough quality to tell which mice is which. However, if you're really worried the two mice will be that close, you should just buy two separate mice :).

ok i'll clarify

i am buying 1 mouse for computer in bedroom 1 and another mouse for second computer in bedroom 2.

i was purchasing 2 identical wireless optical mice of same brand, model, & everything.

both computers will be used at the same hours and time most of the time.

a 4 inch wall is all thats between the computers or the kids would be looking at each other.

so basically both mice are facing at each other as well. is the signal strong enough to interfere through the wall if that close?

A solid wall will do a fine job of separating the mice. Move the receivers around if you start getting interference. Otherwise, have fun with your new mice :).

ok, cool

i have no plans to be moving furniture around because that leads to repainting lol.
