Hello guys, when im scrolling down using the wheel, the page will scroll up a little bit every so often as you go down. This happen in all application.
Do you think this could be a software or hardware issue?

Hyper X Pulsefire Raid

Forgot to mention: The wheel is in good condition, it doesn't physically move forward, it stays in place
thanks!

Try a different mouse and see what happens.

Yeah i was thinking about that, but im afraid that the glides wont adhere well afterwards. I probably leave that as a last resort.
So you think is hardware issue?

tried my old g402 an it work perfect

If the g402 works fine, then it likely is the HyperX mouse. If me, I would totally uninstall the HyperX mouse drivers, and do a "cold" shutdown, disconnect that mouse, then boot. Then start fresh installing that mouse with the latest drivers, cross fingers, and see what happens.

By “cold”, I mean shut down the computer and flip the master power switch on the back of the power supply (if your supply has one) to off (or “O”), or unplug the power supply from the wall for about 15 seconds. Then turn the master power switch to on (or “|”), or reconnect the power cable and boot up and see what happens. By totally removing power, you reset the PSU. It also removes the +5Vsb standby voltage all ATX Form Factor power supplies are required to supply whenever the power supply is plugged into the wall and (if applicable) the master power switch is set to on. This standby voltage is distributed throughout several points on the motherboard, including RAM for faster boots and the USB ports too. This also keeps alive several features, including “wake on keyboard” and “wake on mouse”, and the network interface for “Wake on LAN” commands. A cold reboot ensures any device settings that may be held by the standby voltage are released, then reset when power is restored.

tried that and it doesnt work, but is good to know anyway, thanks!

You didn't like that mouse anyway, right? ;)

Yeah, sounds like a failing mouse wheel sensor. As long as there is no dust in there. In my experience this is a typical failure mode for Razer mice. And it sounds like your Hyper-X is in the same boat.

yeah this mouse kinda bad but i really like the way buttons are distributed

It seems like I have no choice but to open it up and see if it's dirty inside

Just blow on the wheel and spin it, give it a few raps with the palm of your hand, certainly hold it upside down and wipe away whatever is accessible from the outside.

Well, I finally decided to open it, cleaned it as best as I could, but sadly and ironically, I couldnt remove the wheel. I couldnt find the way to do it, usually the wheel comes off easily but in this model, it seems to have something holding it from below and I cant figure out what it is. I closed it again and the problem persists. :(

i did a little bit of research and find out that all hyperx mice have this same problem

somehow the wheel works much better today, not perfect, but much better:rolleyes:
