In the past few weeks my Razor Deathadder has started acting up as soon as I turn the my computer on and begin using it; the cursor is staggered, jumpy, laggy in its movement. However, when I restart my computer it immediately goes and is back to normal and this is the case every time.
Just a few moments ago I updated the software and it's still doing it, right now!
I'll do a complete uninstall of the software and see if that makes a difference.

Any ideas?
Tom.

Try it on a different computer if you can and see if it does the same thing.

Could be a manufacturers error.

Last night I removed the Razer Synapse configuration software and I've turned the computer on twice today and no problems. I'll load Synapse back on and see if the problem happens again.

Blobster,
I did not. If it happens again, I'll have a look.

Check for debris/hair on sensor.

The cable is good? Just to check

I had similar issues with my Naga 2014.

Here are things you should try if it happens again:

  1. Make sure your mouse pad is clean. Sometimes a very dark or dirty pad can cause taking issues
  2. Try the mouse in different USB ports
  3. Try the mouse on a different computer
  4. Try the mouse on a clean white sheet of printer paper

Ways I resolved the issue as it cropped up multiple times for me that makes zero sense to me as to why it resolved:

  • 1st time. Sheet of white printer paper. I used it for a couple of days and went back to my mouse pad and the issue was gone. The original mouse pad wasn't changed in any way, yet the tracking issue was gone after a couple of days.
  • 2nd time. Uninstalled synapse software and the issue went away.
  • 3rd time. Installed the synapse software and the tracking issue went away.
I had other issues with the mouse and the synapse software. Then, about 2 weeks after the 2 year warranty was up, the middle mouse button completely failed. Razor wouldn't replace it so I threw it out.

Not a single issue with my Logitech G502 in the past 3 years now.
