MSI CPU Force

As many of you may know, ASUS has a motherboard BIOS feature called Silicon Prediction, that will show the quality and overclock potential of a CPU.

MSI has a motherboard BIOS feature called CPU Force that is supposed to do something similar.

While the ASUS SP gives a not only a numerical score, it shows Voltage/Frequency details.

MSI CPU Force only gives (as far as I can tell) numerical values. I cannot find any reference as to what these specific values mean with respect to the quality of the CPU.

If anyone has a MSI motherboard with the CPU Force tool, and a 14900K, would you be willing to run the CPU Force tool (must be done at BIOS Default), and post your results?

I do not have a 14900K but I do have a 13900KS.

CPU Force 2.5
All P-core 225
All E-core 130

I've always considered my sample to be pretty good, voltages are low (BIOS VID is 1.000 flat, load usually 1.42 on the 6 GHz P cores) and it's always been well behaved. Not sure if these are comparable across SKUs though, ASUS SP is not.

According to MSI Tech Support, scores for each SKU are not comparable to others.

My 14900K is decent, I believe, and the motherboard certainly has the power to overclock it.

As I recall, I get ~1.36VCore @ 5900 MHz under load.

Your 14900K seems like great sample from what I'm looking here. Sub 1V VID at the BIOS is nice.

I kinda wanted to flip my 13900KS and try getting a 14900KS but I could be doing something potentially very stupid and ending with a worse chip so I decided not to, after all mine works just fine.

Forgot to mention mine is on BIOS 1.G0 but I don't believe the CPU Force score ever changed, I'll run it fresh for you soon.

That is pretty awesome bios feature. I'm living in the dark-ages it seems who would think such a thing was possible.

While I am certainly no fan of ASUS, their Silicon Prediction BIOS tool is much better (read detailed) than this MSI tool.

I am trying to get some info from MSI regarding how to interpret the numbers, and how those values relate to quality of the CPU.

Please share as I'm afraid I don't know anything beyond "lower is better" within the same kind of chip.

Also it seems that the CPU Force score is not fixed, I've got scores ranging from 224 to 227, but the average is 225, most scores are like this. Once you press the "check" button it seems VCore reading will increase for a moment, so this must be the result of some sort of micro benchmark.

I am not sure the 'lower is better' thing is necessarily accurate, because I read that it is supposed to start at 100 and go down from there.

You seem to have a good processor, so your score tells me that is not exactly true.
