I was looking for MB to replace MSI P31 neo-f. I made a list of the mbs that matched my budget more or less.
P5Q pro status out of stock
P5K premium status out of stock
P35 DS3R status out of stock
P35 DS3L status out of stock
and finally get my hands on MSI p45 neo3-fr I read the reviews that I find and wasnt good at all but I was out of options so I went and buy the board to try it on my own and :nutkick:

First on the old board I was going CPU 3.75 memory 999 5 5 5. On the P45 I managed 3.75 and 900 6 6 6 a noticeable drop from P31. But I find a the way to live with that.
That I was wanting to try lower CPU multi and rise the FSB and than :nutkick:.
i find out that when I raise the FSB over 310+ the memory divider is setting it self to 1:2 no matter what I choose from the bios I tried all the dividers but above 310 FSB the divider is set to 1:2 I notice this by when the motherboard wont post 3-4 times it is displaying OC attempt failed do you want to keep bios setting I`m choosing yes and in the bios is displaying at what CPU and MEMORY frequency was the attempt and because I was trying for a start 350 FSB the memory was round 1400 MHz !!! and no way of lovering it down like I said the dividers are not working. And yes it has the latest bios.

Any ideas PLEASE

have you tried to contact MSI? My only thought would have been to update the bios anyway. You're going to be better off with a p35 or x38 chipset, since you've found as I have that the p45 memory controller is awful. If you are going to a p35 or x38 board, I would seriously consider DFI boards. Stable as a rock, and so many bios options. They are also very forgiving boards.

I owned DFI in the past but now there is no DFI in my country market. If I can find DFI that would be my first choice 100%.
Tonight I`m going to try different memory brands if that could help.
