Hi all, I've got an x570 Unify causing some issues. If I leave it on for long amounts of time (especially to complete a render or similar) it stops responding to CPU temperature changes. After boot the POST code display usually shows the CPU temp, but once this happens it only reads 00 and all fans linked to CPU temps run at minimum speed. This is obviously an issue if I'm running an intense render or similar as I can boot up HWinfo and see the CPU bouncing around its 90c throttle point, even reaching a maximum of 95c sometimes. Wondering if this is any sort of a known issue.

1. Max operating temp of 5000 series is 90°C. This is the throttling point and never should cross it.
2. What BIOS version are you using? Is it latest? Beta or final?
3. Are you using PBO + curve optimizer for OC the CPU?
4. Latest chipset drivers, and windows version?

Either your cooling device is not working properly or you're using excessive OC values or something else is wrong.
I wouldn't like my CPU to hover close to its max operating temperature and crossing it would be a NO NO NO...

Use latest version of HWiNFO64 (sensors mode only) to monitor every value CPU related and maybe post it here like the one below where all values are visible (current, min, max, avg)

2. 7C35vA93, which is the latest beta for ComboPI 1.2.0.2, but the same issue happened with the latest stable version 7C35vA8
3. I have previously, but this happens currently at stock as well.
4. As far as I know, yes.

Temps are normal under a rendering load (low 60s C) because the cooler is ramped to about 60%, but once the on-board temp readout resets to 00C it drops to 20% fanspeed and temps gradually climb as the water in the cooler heats up. The 95c was stored in hwinfo's maximum column, and in-use it hovered around 88-89c. I'll leave the PC on and once it goes back to 00C I'll grab a screenshot for you.

I do also realize I could set the minimum cooler speed to 50% or something but that seems like a work-around for a problem that shouldn't be happening.

I've had exactly the same issue on MSI X570 Prestige Creation, debug goes to 00 and all fans in the system goes to a minimum no matter the load on CPU etc.

I solved this by updating firmware for a controller on the board, you do this by installing MSI Dragon Center (yes i know, bloat) go to Setting (gear icon) -> Support, now you are under "live update" press the advanced button, let it scan .. once done only install the "LED FW Update"

Hope this helps.

This might've worked! It's only been up for about 6 hours right now, but nothing yet. Will update again later.
