I have 2 HDD (640gb and 2tb) and 1 ssd team dark L3 240gb. With new asus tuf b660 d4 and team zeus ddr4 16gb, i wanted to upgrade my rig to win 10, but these 3 storage dont appear in storage list during win10 installation. Searching around and i found they must be set to AHCI in bios, but cant found any option to do that in Asus bios. Should i go back to my Sandy bridge system and change them to AHCI there?

Nothing about storage configuration is written in the user guide book except RAID, which I don't use

It's Asus BIOS, have you tried the F9 search tool in the toolbar at the top, search for anything SATA-related? I don't have an Intel board handy but wherever it is, it should be buried somewhere under the Advanced tab one over from AI Tweaker.

Ah okay, so as of Z690 and other 600-series chipsets, the 10-year-old+ AHCI/RAID selector does not exist in Asus BIOSes anymore:

While looking through some Z690 Asus board BIOSes I did see a whole section for VMD setup, but not sure how it looks in there - you might have to just work it out as you go along in that submenu. I'm guessing you'll want to try to disable the VMD option for AHCI, if enabling it supposedly is for building RAID arrays.

he says that ya have to install the rst driver during win installation to see all drives

Wanted to add, I have an Asus Proart Z690 Motherboard. Had a company login and update the BIOS. System would not restart, tech support was involved for about 9 hours total. I stubbornly kept reading, and learned from tech support about the AHCI settings.... However, AHCI is not a thing on this Z690 MB, and as user tabascosauz points out, VMD should be enabled for RAID configurations, and logically DISABLED for what we would call AHCI mode.... Well, I found this setting in the UEFI to disable the VMD, restarted my system and am pleased to have a working computer again!!!!! Yay Science and thank you tabascosauz!!!
