How old is the system, and does your screen go blank for any reason and remain blank?

The system is less than a year old and I did not check for my screen going blank I shut my computer as soon as that happened

Fans going super high speed usually means that your CPU is getting hot. Double check the CPU cooler installation, see if you didn't forget to remove the plastic film - happens to the best of us. Also double check if fan orientation is correct - top and back fans should exhaust, bottom and front fans should be intake

If after doing this and temperatures are confirmed to be within acceptable range (as is, below 95C load) - go into BIOS and increase fan hysteresis or make a smoother curve manually

This is my pc I already got told to check my cpu cooler and the curve the cpu is fine same with the power supply as I mentioned the case fans from what I know should be at a stuck 800rpm

Fan orientation looks right. Try downloading HWiNFO64 and observe the CPU Diode temps when the fans spin up a lot. If this is above 90C, there's your problem. 800 rpm in most cases should be the "low speed" when temps are under control. You can lower this as low as 0 to 200 rpm on some motherboards

Make sure it's clean, refresh your thermal paste on cpu, reseat parts into motherboard, clear cmos and make sure your motherboard bios is latest, also any fan software in the os make sure it is set to factory defaults

I don’t really feel comfortable turning my pc on when the fan goes 100% and I don’t know the problem I also don’t think it it the cpu

You said A fan starts spinning up… have you isolated that fan?

I've had a GPU where the fans would just spin up to 100% for no rhyme or reason. If the case fans were full speed they didn't even come close to matching the sound the GPU fans made when full speed.

I have not I think it is the gpu though cause my case fans are a set speed and can’t adjust power supply and my cpu fan has like a specific whine on the fans.

My fans also ramp up when playing something demanding, nothing special there. Like mentioned above, how are the temps? Nothing's gonna break since CPUs/GPUs throttle down if things are going too sweaty.

You have to. Could be something is mounted poorly. Download HWinfo or HWmonitor (personally I prefer HWMonitor), run something that makes the fans ramp up, alt tab out and look at max temps. And as Ruru said, you can't really damage anything because the system will slow itself down if it gets too hot. It could just be that the GPU fan is loud.

I've had this happen from bad thermal paste (or a bad mount?) on my graphics card. GPU core temperatures were fine, but the hottest part of the core (the hotspot) kept creeping up until eventually it reached a critical temperature (pushing 110C) where the fans went mental to try and keep it under control. Seems to happen to a lot of modern cards.

For what it's worth -- I got the affected card (a 4080) repaired under warranty, and then noticed it creeping up again a month later. Power-limited my card to roughly 200W (down from 300W-ish I believe?), and it's been solid for many months since... Not sure if sustainable, but so far so good. (will probably end up putting some PTM7950 on it at some point)

HWiNFO64 should show all of these values, and keeps track of the maximums so you can check after the fact as well. Good luck.

This…

also it seems like something that did not happen before since one year you had the PC. Could it be something like you were always already wearing headset or something until recently you launched the game and remarked it for the first time? Or did you recently move the PC nearer your sitting position? And is it a new game? One you did not play before? Try to think of what could have changed recently that made you hear it more. But yeah GPU fans ramp up when launching some games. It usually settles down somewhere when you get into the game’s Menu.

Ah and another thing just in case… if your power supply has a 0 rpm mode that can be set on or off at the back of the unit perhaps it was on but recently you switched it off moving the case or replugging or using the power on/off switch or dusted off your PC in that area.

My card has done it once in blue moon, i think its a check the bios does on them, after windows loads they slow back down.

Well open you case and look

Really? You come here for help, we are giving you advice on this matter, your system won't spontaneously combust because of your fans reving up. Either open your case and look and listen or take it to a shop and let them figure it out.

My old 980Ti started doing this around the 4 year mark of owning it. It would do it randomly as the computer was just sitting idle, while playing a game or even just watching a video. It didn't do it all the time, but enough to make it a concern (for a while, I eventually just learned to ignore it and live with it).

I removed the OC (which was pretty hefty since that card could OC like crazy), adjusted voltages, adjusted the fan curve, removed the fan curve and so on. None of them changed the behaviour. Last step I did was I pulled the card apart, repasted, replaced the thermal pads and completely cleaned it to the point it looked almost unused. Sadly, the problem persisted. I used the card for another 2-2.5 years without any issues. I even sold the card (was the height of the crypto boom) and explained the odd behaviour it had to the buyer so they weren't taken by surprise and they didn't care. Hopefully it lasted and ran for a few more years for the buyer.

Yeah, you need to check things out, even though you can see into the case (based on the picture you provided), you should still pop the side cover off and just get a good peek at the GPU when you start up a game that causes this issue. Make sure all the fans on it are spinning.

I did have one fan of the three on my current 3080Ti decide not to spin one day. My system was sounding very loud because only two fans were spinning on the GPU and they were working harder to keep it cool. I only noticed this once I removed the cover on my case. I saw two fans spinning and one just sitting there doing nothing. I gave it a little nudge with my finger and the fan started spinning again. I haven't had the issue since. I don't know why it stopped, the card isn't dirty. Just an odd situation.

Mine only ever did it on boot, never randomly so who knows, I thought at the time if it ever failed I would RMA it, it's still going no issue.

I can’t rma it sadly I bought it used from a store with two week warranty

You guys have some fair points I will try turning the game on not that I want to and open the case to look at the gpu when it ramps up.

I let the game run until it happened then the screen turned blank and the fans went max 100% the gpu what’s the fix or problem

Oh now you are being specific so it does blank out now, find event viewer and get bluesxreen view and get info

You mention you have a ssd in raid with a HDD, what config of raid?

Just a mirror raid why?

I have figured it all out I found out the person I bought it from still had a warranty on it so I will rma it thanks for the help
