My computer throws me to the desktop when I enter CS:GO.

While I was able to enter the game without any problems until a day ago, in 4:3 view, today I can't. When I click on the game, it opens in the background but I cannot enter the game. There is no problem in 16:9 view, but when I set 4:3, I cannot enter. The only solution I could find was to make my own desktop screen also 1024*768 (4:3). I don't want to deal with this solution every time. I verified the files, deleted and installed Steam and CS:GO but the problem did not go away. When I contacted the technical support of my computer, they said that I needed to talk to you. Please, please help me. :(

Sorry for my bad English.

The hell you doing trying to play at 4:3?

Technical support for a computer will definitely be of no help for something like that

I know they won't help, so I called with hope. I like to play the game in 4:3 form, please be nice and don't write unnecessary stuff please. I am here for the solution.

Maybe try a GPU driver update?

Tech support sent you to TPU? That's kind of hilarious.

Sounds like the GPU driver is having some kind of failure converting you from 16:9 to 4:3 when the windows resolution isn't set as such. Assuming your driver is up to date, sounds like your only solution is to manually change your windows resolution when you play (or just play at 16:9 like a normal person). You likely won't find any other support for this because you're causing your own issue by trying to run a game at 4:3 when everything else is 16:9.

If the moniter is 16:9 and your running at 4:3 that can introudce some real problems

Is there anything listed in the Event Viewer when this issue happens?

Mild necropost from me here, nevertheless:
Playing in 4:3 in CSGO is quite common, especially for players taking the game a bit more seriously. Simply put, by rendering the game in 4:3 and having it scaled on to a 16:9 monitor, the enemy models appear larger on your screen than when rendered in 16:9 and displayed in 16:9. While it does inhibit your FOV somewhat, your targets become larger and thus easier to hit. At least that's the thought process behind it.

Your computer specs would be helpful. What GPU are you using? Are you using the latest drivers? What monitor are you using? Are you using HDMI, DP, DVI to connect to your display?
While I've personally never run into the issue where the game wouldn't let me play in 4:3 on my 16:9 monitor, maybe you could set a custom resolution for the game in your GPU software? I believe this is an option for Nvidia users; I'm sure it exists for AMD users as well, although frankly I have not checked, since I've never had the need to.
