Depending on the laptop, your fan profile is probably wonky. Try resetting it, or changing your fan curves in bios. They could be set to 100% at 60c or something like that.

Use headphones

It's a gaming laptop and an HP. It's doing what its designed to do. There are other temps besides the CPU.
Just keep any dust and dirt away from it so it can breathe

My notebook PC (Acer Swift 3 SF314-57) has a fan but it doesn't even show up in HWiNFO64 or even in the BIOS. Its speed is controlled entirely by some fan control algorithm inaccessible to the user.

It's likely just doing its job as its designers planned.

It's not weird, your fan curve tops out at 50c. Be thankful its as cool as it is. Have you tried Afterburner?

My M15R3 Alienware moves along at 80'-90' C and that is normal for gaming ...... I was told "so what, it's normal" ...... seems to be no problems at all but I can manually adjust my fans and I use a 5 fan cool pad that lowers the temps about 5'-7' C .... laptops have limits. They are not like desktops ..... heat can be a problem that is why they are generally throttled ........ mine is but it runs EVERYTHING at acceptable frame rates in any and all games I play ....... from Red Dead redemption2 (60+) to TSW2 (50+) ..... old games I do not even have to boost the fans (Silent Hunter 5, Ghost recon, FSX)

Intel CPU's are set at what they consider a safe level for thermal shutdown, even if your laptop thermally throttles at 100C it is regarded as safe if set to that.
Some manufacturers will set that level lower. Run Throttlestop and check what your laptop is set for.

It seems to be all over the map with laptops ...... I can only really say that Dell support told me not to worry about it ...... of course they do not mean run it in 100' environment, but to answer you, i am just not sure ........
