my setup isnt working w/ Aliens vs Predator Gold game

So I decided to reinstall my Aliens versus Predator Gold edition game on this system, and everything seems to be working perfectly up until I actually start any of the 3 campaigns. The graphics are completely scrap. I tried about 5 different resolutions and 16/32 bit color, but no luck. Heres a screen I just took. Is this a common problem? Is there a patch to fix this? Or is it that this is such an old game that newer hardware screws up the display?

AVP is not for XP&VISTA as far as i know ... you could try to search for a fix or something but i doubt you will find one .

One more thing : are you using ATI TRAY TOOLS ? if so , try to force zbuffer to 24bit .

Have you tried updating your video drivers or reinstalling the game?

I see one site available to buy showing Vista/XP compatibility but another that says Win98 and less.

It may be a Direct X thing, could be an update away like werez stated.

I'm going to follow the link werez posted and do everything word for word to get it to work. If all else fails, I guess I will have to give Steam my hard earned $5 for the regular edition of the game
