Hello guys. I need a few suggestions on how to configure my AMD Sempron 3000+ /512k/166 to my Asus A7N8X 2.0 - Delluxe.

I just bought a Sempron 3000+ with a 512k cache and 333 fsb. I purchased the Processor for $20 on Craigslist in my town. One hell of a steal. I have no problems when I run the processor at normal FSB speed. However my Bios, which is the newest one to date from Asus only sees it as an Athlon xp 2700+

Here is the Sempron I have from our CPU Database on the site:
http://www.techpowerup.com/cpudb/73/AMD_Sempron_3000+.html

Here is the CPU support list page for my Motherboard, it shows my Sempron at the very bottom
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=A7N8X Deluxe

I have the newest Bios, 1010. When I first got the motherboard it had 1008.
CPUZ shows my Sempron to be an Athlon MP 2700. It does show the correct ammount of the 512k cache.

I am currently running it and it seems to be faster than my real Athlon 2700+ I just swapped out.

Anyone know how I can get the full 3000 out of my sempron, or do I just have to settle for what I got?
Thank you very much.

Post a CPU-Z screenshot.

I have the same mobo in my son's computer. It also has 1010 bios. I use an overclocked 2500+ and it displays it as a 3200+ (11*200). I also hava a few socket A Semprons (2400+ & 2600+), it correctly displays these processors in both CPU-Z and post even if they're OCed. The fact is, if it has 512K cache, 333 fsb and it's clocked @ 2.0Ghz it doesn't matter if the mobo calls it a 2700+, 3000+ or even a 2400+, it's still the same CPU.

"Ctrl" + "Prt Scr" paste to paint and save

Here you go, thanx for the instructions.:

Does it actually say Sempron on the chip?!
