Hello guys,
i have here an NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB from Zotac AMP! Edition.
I found a BIOS from other vendors with much higher values.
My PowerSupply is a MSI MAG 750W with PCIe 5.0 Support
So i planned to bring up my:
Memory Size: 6144 MB
GPU Clock: 1557 MHz
Boost Clock: 1772 MHz
Memory Clock: 2002 MHz
Memory Type: GDDR5
Board power limit
Target: 120.0 W
Limit: 140.0 W
up to THAT
Memory Size: 6144 MB
GPU Clock: 1620 MHz
Boost Clock: 1848 MHz
Memory Clock: 2256 MHz
Board power limit
Target: 200.0 W
Limit: 225.0 W
Should be doable or ? Hope that you guys can help me.
The AMP Cooler is strong enough
My Power Supply is strong enough
My PCIe 4.0 is strong enough
So first i planned to test these settings with MSI Afterburner + 3DMark. After that i planned to flash the BIOS.
My question now is what is the better way ?
Backup my old BIOS and flash it back with edited OC values ?
(thats the way i did it in the past)
or
Download a compatible BIOS (more recent one 2017/2018) from a different Vendor ?
