Hello.
I recently opened my device manager , and noticed that I am getting an Error in the video controller section.
Simply this:
Other Devices
Video Controller (!!!)
The drivers for this device are NOT installed (code 28)
There is NO driver selected for the device information set or element
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

I am running an i5 2500k with an AMD HD 6950, and I AM aware of how to install My driver's, I am Currently @ stock clocks on ALL hardware.

So far I have, re-installed the 12.10 AMD driver, and still the issue persists.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this??
Is it an Intel Driver or an AMD driver?

P.S. I DO NOT have any virtual Drive software installed like Daemon, or the likes.

Thanks for Reading, and for your help.
Aside from this error , My system is EXACTLY like it normally is.

If i remember right the I5 2500k has a built in GPU so maybe this is what is showing in device manerger.

Apparently the last time I was in My UEFI, I accidentally turned on IGD multi monitor Display. I am NOT completely sure of what it is, It seems/sounds like it is an option for using a second monitor which would be run by the onboard GPU (HD3000). Since turning that option off, the Driver issue has been resolved, however, this leaves me wondering, Do I lack the proper iGPU driver's? Anyone who has an answer please let Me know. Also if you know what EXACTLY that option IS for. Assuming that My guess is incorrect of course.(as they tend to be).

If you don't plan to use it/activate the iGPU I wouldn't worry about drivers. If you do plan to play with it a bit, here is the driver section for it.
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sear....aspx?lang=eng Type HD3000 into the search box.

Yeah , I tried to install that one, but I got an error message saying that I didn't meet the requirement's to install it.??

I have ALWAYS seen the Intel Graphics in GPU-Z /MSI afterburner/Device manager, but now it's like it isn't there @ all.

And in regards to your other comment, I don't use them, however I would like to know they were there in case there was ever a problem with My video card, as a back up.

Any ideas what might cause this problem?

I've looked online ,but All I can find are scenarios where the opposite is occurring.e.g. the dGPU not being recognized.

It's like My PC doesn't even see the Intel Graphics for Some reason.

I even used the Intel update Tool the one that uses System requirements Lab to detect intel related updates for your system, and even IT didn't detect My CPU graphics driver was missing.

IDK maybe it has to be activated during the install process to actually take?

Problem Resolved........
Sorry for the Trouble, if any.
Just for the sake of resolution , here's what I did to address the issue/cause the issue.
The driver problem was caused by enabling IGD multi monitor display in My bios(Asrock Ext3Gen3 MoBo).
Also it is relevant that I only VERY recently installed My O.S. , So due to the Small amount of time on My O.S , I had Never used iGPU mode , and since I hadn't ,the driver's were never installed. (although I admit ,I didn't know you had to be in iGPU mode to have Windows 7 install the drivers for it).
Any way , once I plugged in My other monitor, and went into iGPU mode, win7 installed the drivers for My CPU, and the issue was resolved.
Then I simply Re-enabled My IGD multi monitor setting, and My dGPU, and there were no more issue's.:banghead:

Merry Decemberween Everybody.

congratz..glad u figured it out!!
