Hi, I have a Mad Catz Xbox controller (with cord)...

I have a hard time using it with certain PC games because most games expect me to use a XBOX 360 controller where as this one is not 100% like a xbox 360 controller...

It has 4 buttons on the right (same as 360)
It has 2x triggers
It has 2 thumbsticks
2x small buttons on the left and 2x small buttons on the right
but it has NO BUMPERTS (like RB and LB)

For some reason, windows doesn't seem to recognise the two TRIGGERS like buttons... when I press them, I get a X axis flash instead of a button lighting up...

Can someone give me some step by step so I can use it and configure it to my liking...
Right now I'm trying to use it to play Assassin's creed revelations on my PC

your trigger are probably digital, and not capable of force detect, the 360 trigger are analog and can detect force applied.

there are 4rd party software/driver available that can use any keyboard button to one of the gamepad.

a quick google show quite a lot now, i've used xpadder once.

I tried everything... I really need a step by step... I'm not familiar with tinkering with controllers and gamepads...

M$ might plant some tricks in the licensed software so that 3rd party's controllers cannot perform exactly like the original controller in some games. My advice is to buy an xbox360 original controller. It should be cheaper than Mad Catz'.

PS. Currently I own two wired xbox360 controllers (bundled with my xbox360 console) and one Mad Catz MW2 combat controller (kinda like yours, I guess). The original controllers work better in both PC and xbox360 games, while the Mad Catz one suffered from a problem where some buttons are not quite responsive when being pushed repeatedly. I tried to sell it off once but on one wanted to have it. The only thing I like about it is the camouflage paint therefore I keep it as a collectible item and haven't used it since.

I have an official xbox 360 wired controller and games don`t always pick up the triggers for it correctly either

i got a Logitech Xbox360 controller myself i connect it and visit Windows Update for the newest Driver and that's it, it works afterwards ^^
