Hello!

So, I'm looking to buy a new PSU. Normally, with these kind of things I can purchase without help however, I'm using a Corsair 900D case... and it's huge.

What I'm looking for is a New 1000W+ PSU, under $200 dollars. The tricky part (the reason I made this thread) is that it needs to have some pretty long cables. So based upon your experiences, throw me some suggestions.

So:

*1000w+ (a few watts below that is fine, more is fine too.)
*Under $200 dollars (cheaper the better, I like saving money)
*Long cables! (Long cables = Good!)

Thanks much! :D

Well this is the only one I manged to find that has the ATX cable length of 650mm which is the same as the cases hieght
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817116021
but looking from the reviews it seems not too good.
The corsair RM 1000w has the ATX cable length of 610mm so it might or might not be enough.

Good luck in your search.

EDIT: Never mind the idiot I am. I was looking at the ATX cables length instead the EPS cables

Check in with @manofthem , he's using a Corsair AX1200 with the custom cable set direct from Corsair in his 900D. He should be able to let you know his experience with cables on his ;)

This is correct. ;)

Using the AX1200 in my 900D along with a red sleeved cable set from Corsair. Everything reaches however I can say the cpu power is a little it bit of a tight fit iirc. I'm guessing that's the one you're most concerned about @erocker, or are there any other lengths you're thinking about?

Since I'm using the sleeved set and am unsure if they are the same lengths are the stock options, I can check later on tonight for a better fitment assessment.

I'm in the exact same situation here, 900D build. I've been looking around at psu's for a week or two and can't find anything under $200 that I think will work. This is an unusual situation for me so any advice or suggestions will be most helpful :)
@erocker Sorry for the thread hijack bud. :respect:

Tell me how "long" you want your cables and I'll make this happen for you. I've got over 60 power supplies sitting here so I'm sure I've got one that will fit your needs.
They need to be about 2 feet in length. Thanks for the offer! I'll most likely take you up on it. :)

You'd think that a $350 case would have a list on compatible PSU's, even if it's only Corsair PSU's.:shadedshu:

Anyhow, the SeaSonic X-1050 has CPU 4/8 pin cables of 650 mm which is 2.13 feet. $180 after MIR The platinum version is $40 more.

Great PSU and it's modular so worst case scenario you can build a longer cable from scratch OR have someone build it for you ;)

That Seasonic gets my endorsement. I used a few while mining and they honestly were hard to beat in cost and performance. Plus long cables too. ;)
