I'm building a budget build for a customer in Africa and he has asked for the i5-2400 (they are crazy about intel and nvidia - he's specifically asked for the gtx 960)..I can get a used i5-2400 from CEX for £60 as he doesn't mind used components as long as it works.

I'd like to know your thoughts on cpu/motherboard combos that will perform similarly and within the same price bracket. He doesn't want an AMD build.

Thanks guys

:respect:.......hope you bag it.

@FreedomEclipse has/had some funky ram for sale and you might winkle a gtx 970 out of him if you save money on the other bits.

@EdInk

budget?

Hmm the Mobo may be a tough one. finding cheap 1155 board cheap is not easy. I would look for minimum Z68 and of course Z77 but they are just so pricey...I just shipped my P67 Sabertooth to a mate in need or I would let you have it for a song.

Just hit Z68 and came up with these, actually not as bad as I thought?

Nice one, will look to see if I can get this in a mico-atx size to save on shipping cost. The ones I've been coming across are the H61M's...

Ah I was just looking for "Cadillac" boards on the cheap. I was gonna do Z77 next but you have other plans but there are M-ATX in Z77 too I just went with those because they had PCI-3.0
