ASUS G10AC Win8.1 600watt power supply tower

Need to replace/upgrade GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB 70w Apr2019

with compatible NVIDIA, preferable ASUS card

Forgot BUS type but plugNplay is a must

We don't know where you are ordering from, or what your budget is. Hard to give much help.

I haven't seen anything that wasn't "plug and play" in many years.

Assuming that the power supply in that thing has at least one pci-e power (could be wrong) you could use a card that uses external power and wind up with something a bit more powerful. rtx 2060, 3060 or rx 6600xt, rx 6650xt. keep the power budget for that card around 150 watts or so and you should be fine with 600w psu. if you want something that doesn't require external power.......rtx 3050, A2000, or rx6400 are pretty much your only options for an upgrade.

Rtx 3050 6gb :)
Sadly this is something I recommend as well, a fine card for being a low-powered one, but just too expensive for what it is. 150EUR max that would have better value.

Sadly, price hardware economics is a constant change. That card will pay for it's self with the satisfaction being 150% uplift in FPS... over the current 1050 ti. At least I'd hope anyways haha.

3050 6/8 GB.

2060 8 GB also an option but needs power connections.

You don't want anything older than these as you won't have support for DLSS/RTX feature stack, and will likely lose driver support soon.

4060/5060 also an option but require power connections.

Blessings - your suggestion found Best Buy in stock was a comfort but bought Amazon - offered same in 8GB for 10% more, free shipping and free returns .... cleaning card showed no dust but reports on FireFox suggested tweaks to its High Demands on video cards I have implemented

Sadly, ths 3050 8gb card is on its way back to Amazon, whose ad did not state only Win7 drivers come with or download possible and Win8.1 NOT compatible ... even a search found them sliently BANNED for most older cards. TITAN X 12Gb ordered since once was supplied with drivers Win8.1-64, even though NVIDIA website downloads claim "not found" - at least they were on the list for this card and few others.
So the $250 hot deal now turns into $600 and more Gb I'll ever use ... but at least a backup, since upgrading to Win11 will jettison so many 3rd party software tools for this biz and no suitable replacements to be found after months of testing.

Which specific Titan X? Can you please share the listing?

FYI a 1080ti is far cheaper and still has 11GB of VRAM.

600w psu might be a bit on the puny side for titan x...depending on the rest of the system.....I am assuming it is the same power supply that came with the machine.

It's not the case any longer, you can often find the Titan cards for less than the 1080 Ti, because normies know what a 1080 Ti is and seem to still consider it a card of exalted status, despite it being obsolete at this point.

Considering the dude wants to use Windows 8.1, regardless of it being the Pascal or the Maxwell model, he will be served well IMHO.

Maybe if it's some F-tier crappy unit. Even a 450W good quality unit is enough if the rest of the system isn't a power hog.

Well, he paid $600 for it.

1080ti is usually comparatively cheaper.

whose ad did not state only Win7 drivers
If you want a Windows 7/8.1 compatible upgrade, the RTX 2000 series and RTX 3000 series have supporting drivers. If you want something on the budget friendly side of things, an RTX 2060 or RTX 3060 would be a very solid upgrade from your 1050ti.

wtf bro you can get a Titan V for less than that these days

Just gotta remember to patch the drivers for 8.1 or 30 series won't work :toast:
