Ok, it's my birthday party tonight, so i hooked up my computer up to the tv so people can choose songs...yada yada, but i also want to have internet access. Now, the computer is on the second floor, normally it's on the first. My other computer on the second floor connects to my wireless router on the first floor to gain internet access. Is it possible to hook my computer up to the second computer through ethernet, and have it gain internet access off of the wireless connection? Any help, ASAP would be appreciated.
:rockout:

You have to change some settings and get the first computer to dhcp an ip to the second computer and make sure you have you're first computer's connection as shared.

But yes, it is possible.

Firstly the 2nd computer, if connected wirelessly, will connect through the wireless router; not throught the 1st computer. You can however connect the 2nd computer to the first computer with a hardwire router or through the lan connection. Use the network wizzard to make connection. Also there is the possibility that there is a hardwire connection available on the wireless router, hopefully it is on the correct floor.

yes I can get my computer to connect to the second one, but for some reason, it doesn't get the internet...and i can't share a wireless connection for soem reason, is that normal? I need to share it to pass the internet access yea?

Don't bother with connection sharing, it'll make things too complicated. Just select both connections and click bridge. Done.
