Just finished my first build 2 days ago. I am really happy with the results, everything went smoothly, and the temperatures are finally better than they were on my previous pre-built. I thought it would be harder but it was infact very simple. The most stressful thing was installing the CPU cooler due to it not snapping to its mount correctly, however after a bit of forcing I made it work. Everything else was relatively easy to install.

Anyway, I just noticed while looking inside my PC through the window side panel that my cooler (Thermaltake UX200) is sagging very very slightly downwards by a few millimeters. The motherboard (Z390 Aorus Pro) isn't bent (from what I can tell anyway), I mounted it on all the 9 standoffs it required, I installed the cooler and its components according to the manual and double checked that everything is sturdy, applied MX-4 paste before placing it, and when I look below the cooler with a phone flashlight it looks like it makes contact with the CPU just fine. But when I look on the "top" of the cooler and try to align it with the rear exhaust holes, it is indeed bending by a few millimeters downward.

I tried AIDA64 and Prime95, CPU temps didn't surpass 65C whereas before they would jump into the 78C on the stock cooler in the pre-built case with no airflow, and so far the CPU is the chillest piece of hardware in my PC, not struggling or throttling in games. I have my case fans set to ramp up with PCI Express x16 heat instead. Idle CPU temps are 28-34C compared to my previous 41-48C on the pre-built, and CPU doesn't go past 60C while gaming.

Should I be worried about this very slight sag? I attached a few pictures, however my phone's camera quality is bad, and it's more noticeable in person.

My previous pre-built was a HP Pavilion 580-199ng, for comparison. I took most of the parts from the prebuilt (some of which I upgraded myself) and placed them in the new case for better airflow.

One of the screws looks a little loose in picture one. Well, more in a different spot than the one under it.

The platform has 3 mounting spots for the screws for different sockets, one of them being LGA 115X which I have. I can assure you all screws are fully in and on the right mounting spot.

I think if you're sure it's mounted solid and it cools as it should the lean is nothing, carry on.
Possibly exaggerated by the fan IMHO.

I'm not particularly worried as it is only a very very slight lean forward, but I did have concerns about it not touching the cpu and that's what prompted me to post here.

I took off the side panel and checked the mount and everything about five times already, everything seems to be in place, yet this sag is still there. Should I carry on and ignore it?

I would, you will be watching temps I would imagine, if anything is wrong it will show in time.
Plus I have seen worse Lean's be fine.

If you think the cooler is pulling away from the CPU, remove the cooler and look at the spread pattern of the thermal paste. It is likely the only way to tell for sure. Also, be sure you have some extra paste on hand before you try it.

I do agree though, if thermals are "normal" I wouldn't worry so much.

Alright I'll continue to monitor the temps, so far my CPU received the most significant temp decrease when compared to my previous build.

You can try to flip case on side and compare result if better then zip tie sucker
and sleep like a baby,cheers.

Picture of the socket up-close, this is how the base plate of the cooler sits on the CPU while its leaning downward by 2-3mm. Is this common with such coolers? I heard people had issues with the Hyper Evo 212 leaning the same way but never any temperature issues and the cooler functioned as it should.

i cant even tell, looks fine to me. It actually looks straight.
