Hello!

I recently built a new pc with all new parts. I installed the OS on the new Nvme.2 drive. Everything works perfectly. Except for when I installed the old Win 10 ssd drive. I changed the boot order in the bios to boot from nvme 1st then the new ssd storage drive and the old ssd with the old win 10 OS last. Everytime it skips the nvme and boots from old win 10 ssd. If I disconnect the drive it will boot from nvme first as dictated in the bios. Any ideas? Im just wanting to be able to have access to all the files on the old win 10 ssd.

Boot up from your nvme and connect your SSD externally with this

What happens if you only use the M2 drive?

I was hoping to mount it in the case. I have an external drive reader already.

Use this method to copy your files, format the SSD afterwards and mount it in the case.

In some bioses, you mayhave the option to also change the boot priority, so maybe check for that too...

And some bioses will only allow for 2 drives to be selected in the boot order section, even though it may technically see/recognize the 3rd one in some of the screens...

Is the drive you want to boot from in the lowest numbered port ?
