was going to do a upgrade for my hp but for some reason the hp mobo wont fit right in the case and and some off the screws to hold it in place was off. so i am going to start building a new one, i think the hp mobo was only made to fit there cases

To be able to offer any sort of assistance, you'll need to specify the specs of your new case. Your MB is a uATX form factor, as it looks your new case doesn't support your current MB form factor. This is not a big problem, as long as it has enough space to fit your board (certainly does from what I can see) And yes, I do agree with you: HP makes boring cases and likes to let you have a very hard time modding / upgrading those cases. Better off installing the HW in a new one. :)

As stated in the specs of this case, it doesn't support your current MB's form factor, just as I thought. It will fit, however! All you would need to do is find a way to fit your current MB into this... drilling extra holes into it, for example. I've had the same kind of problem with my MB and incompatible case and could fix it by drilling extra holes into it.

This will be a much more easier and better solution. The MB you have your eyes on is very good - great choice! Would look great in your new case as well! Please post it in the case mod gallery when you're done! :) Good luck!

Any reason in particular why you have 2-3 threads about more or less the same thing? :)

the other one was mostly for the intel i5 and running new games

yup sure will i post pics when i start the build

I recommend that you keep everything in one thread since you will get better advice then (like type of motherboard, cpu, gpu etc). I remember few weeks back you also had a thread about a whole build if I am not mistaken. Decide what you want to do and put it in one thread because honestly I don't see the point of this thread unless you ask how can you fit your hp board into this case. Just my 2c
