Hey all,
I currently have a SAMSUNG 2494HM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001404

I want to upgrade to a monitor that is same size or bigger with a DTV built in so I can plug my PS2/PS3 directly in without having to go through my pc tv tuner. I dont want to drop a ton of change on it too. so maybe $300 tops.

I have a Sony Bravia I use for a similar purpose and it's perfect since I can use it for a surveillance monitor, tv, computer, etc. Plenty of inputs. This is a 22" class, 720p monitor, but I'm sure they have something more in the 24" range that would work as a replacement for your samsung.

Sony BRAVIA 22" Class (21.6" Diag.) 720p 60Hz LCD ...

Why don't you just hook the PS3 up through HDMI, your PC through DVI, and the PS2 through analog VGA and change inputs? Why the TV tuner weirdness?

I realize it may be Weirdness to you but, I have been routing through my TV tuner and using the RCA to TV converter to connect to my tuner. I am also selling my monitor to a coworker and therefore looking to simplify my setup. Also, the sound through my current monitor sucks so, i figure i may get a bit better from one that has built in DTV.

Open Box: ViewSonic X Series VX2439WM 23.6" 2ms HD...

how about my monitor??
and get a component to vga converter and do what MT Alex said.

ok...... not an upgrade.
Also, what is so bad about having the rca and such built into the monitor? before I bought my current one, Laughingman was recommending I get this one LG monitor with the Tuner built in.

Now I might be willing to jump on these though:

I wouldn't get anything that doesn't have HDMI. That will let you run it through an A/V receiver down the line, plus it's one cable instead of 5 for component video. And while component can handle 1080p, most products seem to artificially limit that to 720p - I know not why.

right. But, they key here is that I want to run my PS2 to it as well and splitting the audio off is not an option. I still have to reflow my PS3 before it will work.
