The Display manufacturer Samsung will put two new TFT-Displays on the market early in July, the 17-inch SyncMaster 730BF and the 19-inch SyncMaster 930BF.
Both will have a TN-Panel with a response time of 4ms (Grey-to-Grey), 1280 x 1024 resolution and a viewing angle of 160 degrees (vertical and horizontal). Furthermore they have an analog and a digital interface. Contrast will be 600:1 for the 17-inch model and 700:1 for the 19-inch model. The 17-inch model has a brightness of 300 cd/m², for the 19-inch model, brightness is 270 cd/m².

Prices will be 400 $ for the SyncMaster 730BF and 500 $ for the SyncMaster 930BF.

I'll probably not go the TFT route for some time too... I can get a nice 17" LG TFT with 20ms for a mere $700 US (R4800) here in SA. (Even funnier is an LG 20" 25ms for only $2200 US) So it's really not gonna happen. I would like to get some desk space back though... Sigh.
