I wanna OC my vid card (ASUS 9600SE) but i'm new to the scene.

I've done alot of reading especially stating i can flash my card to upgrade it sorta, but don't know where to start, or if thats even the right way to go.

At the moment, i have the newest catalyst drivers from ATI'swebsite, and the ATITool 0.24 installed. Its running a Find Max Core and has been for 11 minutes.

I'm assuming in an hour or so i stop it and it will be at my max core? Or should i even be using the catalyst drivers? The rest of my system is pretty solid: an AMD XP 2400+ with a gig of memory.

Just looking for suggestions and a good starting point. Thanks guys!

here is abit of advice just get the lastest catalyst drivers 5.10`s then try and get you and get your 9600se`s speeds to 9600pro and flash it to a pro`s bois and see if you can get 400Mhz\300Mhz but its not 128bit Bus width :/

my suggestion is to leave the function of atitool of finding the max core/mem.find the max core with default memory, find the max memory clock with default core and try it combined on games etc etc.if you have problems, decrease the clocks about 5 mhz,try again.you can also use the artifact tester of atitool.
