The price war between Intel and AMD gets more and more intense. While Intel's updated price list is known for some time now, it took spy agencies around the globe some time to uncover a similar document. After all the Germans from Au-Ja got their hands on the bespoken file. Here it is:

OMGWTF 5600+ @ price of E6300 ???? WOW ! At stock and price wise, the 5600+ beats E6300 by a good margin

These price cuts are kickass!!! People can get awesome dual cores at awesome prices :D Seems that 'market' winner are these AMD procs. :D
But Extreme performance market is 'still' owned by Core 2 (note: NOT the P4's, PD's LOL)

Faulty socket 775 mounting design

Just wanna say :775 mounting always bend the mother a little or a bit ,with that "bending" ,i think the motherboard useful life will be shorter than normal ,Go 775 go for after market HSF with backplate for good thing :toast:

Not any E4300 can get up to 4,75GHz. People are often limited by their motherboards or maybe "a bad batch".

Look at xtreme-systems, those guys put way more money into their systems and the average user and still can't hit 4GHz sometimes...

Intel fanboys, pff...

And I am not an Intel Fanboy, nor AMD. I'll get a E4300 on the next pricecut. To UNDERVOLT it :D

outside of a few stray prices, these cuts seem consistent with most of the AMD processors available through newegg.

Those are some nice prices, I wonder whats a good processor to last a few years though. Considering they keep adding more and more cores. 8 cores next year from what I heard.

Well there goes the resale value of my Opty 170... At least she's doing well enough to keep around for a while.

I might as well get myself an AMD proccie. Man this 'price cut war" is getting stupid, I reckon Core 2 Extreme in like a quater of a years time will be cheaper than the Celeron D

You know, I'm going to clean this thread of all traces of that Track guy.

I love this. Now, when I migrate to AM2, it wont kill me. Mobos should be coming down in price too. Now if only the memory was cheaper.

memory is coming down too
i'm considering selling mine and get 2gb mushkin for 150€

Just due to these prices I can get 5600+ at he price of E6300. Maybe the prices are crazy but AMD just won the whole market!
AMD FTW!!! :rockout:

Wow, so let's talk about an X2 3800+ for $81! I remember spending a lot more than that on mine...

never fails, i buy a processor and then the prices drop lol.

tell me about it lol, i waited about 8 months to get my x2 3800 and within 4 weeks the price halved :(
