No idea why my pc has that error now. I click the icon and it says no audio output device. Not sure its the hardware or the software related. I use a sound blaster omni usb sound card and the old cheap speaker. If I remember correctly, the problem occurred after I installed nvidia driver or when I move the desktop to a new location.

Hi,
Yeah just remove and reinstall the card if you haven't already

I had to reinstall the drivers on my old office pc (our older son uses it now). I did it via windows help, it worked. Of course you can check the card installation first, like @ThrashZone suggests.

Does not work at all. Tried to plug the usb sound card to my laptop and it works fine. Maybe reinstall window next.

how about checking default device?
nvidia is famous for changing it to HDMI during install - does your monitor have speakers?

Monitor does not have speaker. Just reinstalled window and sound is back online.
