Not Getting Able to Merge Drive with Unallocated Space!

hi,
using SSD,
wanted to Give Space to Drive D.
what i have done is, i shrunk the VOLUME C about 1GB,
and wanted to give that SPACE to Volume D,
but im not able to MERBE that unallocated 1Gb space to Drive D. ( please help.

Also, are you trying to give more space between two drives or between one drive that has more partitions?

Ah my mistake, it was drive i , but its a part of ssd same disk.

So if I understand this correctly, you are trying to merge the K part with the I part, which are both on the SSD.
If the procedure is the same as is with regular HDD you should be able to move that partition (the K one, which is on the left side) to the end of the one you wish to extend, in this case the I part. That software you're currently using should be able to do it.
After you move it, you need to delete the volume on the K part, and then the option to extend/merge the I part should be available.

EDIT: Right click the unallocated space, and choose move/resize partition, drag it to the far right and you should be ready to go.

i tried to Delete Part K which is now Unallocated Drive, i right clicked on Part I, selected option "Merge" now Drive is not being shown on list, not able to merge.

Really the problems is the drive is too full. There are hidden files on a system disk.

You can;t always move space to another partition even with a good partition software

Get the I partition off the disk and just use the 120 for your system.

The other issue you have is you have a boot partition on your 500Gb drive and the system on the 120


Just calm down with the partitions

Next time you format a system drive only have the OS dive connected

Exit the merge window. In the main window you should be able to see the unallocated space. Right click it, and choose move/resize, and then move/drag it to the end of the drive. Then try the merge.

You don't need all those partitions. You can separate data without a partition. If a disks fails you lose it all. Just back up

People will tell you that you only need 35 Gb for a system. they are wrong. A system will grow and they will reformat after a few months. Keep your programs with the system. If you reinstall you still have to reinstall them all

you guys are right, may be i will need to delete drive i to merge with k,
But that ssd was actually for gta v recent updates consumed more space, gta v is now
Consuming 71+ i less space left thought that will cause problem in gameplay, if i delete that game i need to redownload whole agian.
I think it's illegal to copy files to another drive, may be im wrong.
I think i should buy another ssd.

Oh yea may be that can be a way to do, i tried but its saying i have less space in drive, operation cant complete something like that, how much space do i need to extend?

Well...that's why the italicized "should". Because they're are times when that doesn't work. In your case I can't understand why it wouldn't. The space is unallocated/free. It should make no difference if that unallocated/free space is contiguous with any particular partition on the drive. Especially since we're talking about an SSD. You should be able to extend any non-boot volume/partition(or, in theory, even any boot volume/partition not currently in use) on the same drive to encompass the unallocated space available. It also shouldn't matter how large or small the available unallocated space is.

One thing I would try is when it asks you to select the amount of space in MB to extend the volume, select an amount slightly less than it says is the maximum available. What I've found is Disk Management can be wrong about the maximum available space. It will tell you X is the maximum amount of space available, when X amount is actually too high. Then when you try to enter that amount of space exactly you'll get a warning saying that's too much and it can't be completed. So if it's saying for instance that 1020MB is available, but that's giving you a warning when you try to extend the volume by that amount. Try selecting 1019MB and see if it works. If it still doesn't work, keep bumping it down 1MB at a time until it does. That should, again should in italics, correct for Disk Management being retarded about reporting the actual amount of space available. Sometimes Disk Management can be WAY OFF. So it might take A LOT of tries to get to the correct size. I just tried doing this same process to make sure I knew what I was talking about. I tried to shrink a partition so I could extend it(the same partition) using the newly created unallocated space. Disk Management kept giving me the warning about the amount of space it said was available to shrink the volume being too much. WTF? It said 16102MB was the maximum available. Much trial and error revealed the actual maximum available space to be 9222MB. WAY OFF! If it can be wrong about that then I can easily imagine it being wrong about the maximum available amount of unallocated space.

Ah i wanted to try but my apc ups is about to die, i had money to buy ssd now i need to buy ups :/

EDIT. i tried to Extend again, now extend option disappeared, windows are crazy..

i had to delete partition I, too.
what i done, is deleted partition i and k
i was able to expand C with I and i expended them,
but was able to do anything with partition K, then i used EasyUS partition Software, i resize partition C and used the allocated space, so i made all partition into 1, then i shrunk the partition. mission successful,
