The option Nvidia platform controller has description that its rare driver used on rare devices. But in reality its dynamic boost driver for 30series and up laptop gpus. If you remove it, gpu will display dynamic boost as "no" in nvcp and gpu wont boost beyond base boost. This is and was the case with every laptop made since 2021. Please fix asap

What is with people using all caps titles? Were you born in a barn?

Yes, that would be great. I went crazy the other day trying to find out what was crippling my GPU performance and it was because i didn't chose to install that. Thank god some guys helped me

Yeah I agree, the description is incredibly misleading. It's a must have component for any laptop user.

Thank you so much! I will update the description and make it a recommended option for all mobile devices

Test build attached, on laptops, when "Recommended" packages is selected it should auto-select "Optimus" and "Platform Controllers"

Not sure if it should be part of the default "Required" set, because technically it is not required for basic operation of the dGPU

This is more than enough, thank you. Also it should not be required, as far as I know there are miniscule ammount of OEM low powered laptops that deliberately remove hardware support for this driver so the gpu is at low power at all times.
