Well if you checked video cards I had a video card problem that somehow corrupted my RAID and I decided raid sucks, don't argue with me... It's sucks for what I use... lol.

Well anyways, here goes...

I stopped using a raid since it wouldn't let me rebuild the array... and now I have this annoying NVRAIDSERVICE.exe hogging 4 megs, lol. I want to uninstall the raid service but don't know how to safely do so. Since its installed on the windows setup I'm unsure on how to safely remove and disable the raid service and loaded files.

Can anyone help me on this one? I'm clueless.

You need to do that from it's BIOS. You'll have to repartition so you'll lose your data. Back it up first.

I disabled the raid from my bios and since its a raid i just had 2 times the folders in each harddrive... Mirror does not use a special drive geometry.

Its just a program (driver), that runs to control the raid thru windows after the bios is turned on... but the bios is off and it runs fine as seperate drives but it still is running, the raidservice that is.

*Cryface* I downloaded alot of torrents onto this harddrive, damn... I didn't wanna have to reformat the thingy :X. Oh well, I guess theres no way to just stop the raid service from running anymore...

Hey man, I know how you feel. I have a damn NVRAID service that I'm using with a RAID 0 array. GOD I HATE IT! First of all, according to sisoftware, my drives perform half as well as 1 7,200rpm Ultra ATA 133 hard drive, while I have 2x 7,200rpm SATA 150 hard drives in RAID 0. Not only that, but my RAID got corrupted too about a month ago. I got so pissed that I just decided to reformat and start over. I think I'm gonna use something better than Nvidia's RAID builder from now on.
