I have a E6400 running at 3.2GHz on Gigabyte DS3 stock cooling

Ram 667 value ram running at 800.

Had to slacken timings when I increased ram from 2Gig to 3Gig 4-4-4-12 to 5-5-5-15.

Questions:

1. when going from 1gig to 2 gig ram, had to increase voltage by 0.3 to 2.1, do I need to increase again when going from 2gig to 3 gig 2x1Gig & 2x1/2Gig.?

2. What is a safe voltage increase on Ram 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 etc?

Thanks for help.

2.2v is probably the highest I would go on DDR2 that isn't being actively cooled by a fan.

Agreed but with Value Ram I would suggest active cooling at 2.1V which IMO is high for value, my Crucial stocks at 2.2V but will crash ar 2.4V, working on the theory that most value ram stocks at either 1.8 OR 1.9v they are going to be pretty warm for sure at anything above 2V and that in iteslf may be the reason why his stability is suffering at 2.1V.
