Hi all, I've run across an odd problem that I could use some advice on. My daughter just installed an ATI radeon 9600XT card on her P$PE-X system with a 2.4 gig Pentium 4 cpu as an upgrade from nvidia 5200. The problem?? no temperaure info , no overdrive and even with Omega drivers defaults to 378 core and 195 memory speeds. Ran ATI tool got artifacts at anything above that speed with no LM 63 detected. ATI log file shows ati device (0X1452) and identified chip as a rv360 with 256 megs of memory. A friend just purchased one running default speeds of 400 core and 250 memory. ????? Any ideas?
I have a Sapphire 9600Xt (256 MB)on my old K7S5a board runs @499 and 299 stock 540X330 oced and a 128 mb version on grandson's system that runs a bit faster ....... so am stunned by the results I've seen on these other systems ..........since I recommended them as a low priced boost !!! Help !!

Are you shure it's a XT and not just a pro (or even non pro, 9550) flashed witha a XT bios downclocked? Becouse the speeds are a 100% stock pro.

Thnx for your quick reply. I am too far away from her location at present to do a visual on the card :( I am afraid you may be correct; even tho it was sold and packaged as a Radeon ATI 9600Xt. Sorry, the Omega drivers only ID as 9600 series (mine too) another quick note .... when she attempts to set AGP speed to 4x (all motherboard allows) Smartgart resets it back to 1x ????
