Hi guys and gals

I was wondering if you might be able to shed some light on a problem I've just had that's started today when I've tried running 3D Mark 06, it's come up with an error Device Lost??

I've tried reinstalling 3D Mark, I've reinstalled Directx 9, even running the compatible modes don't seem to want to work for some strange reason...

Has anyone got any ideas before I pull the rest of my hair out of my head??

FWIW it still works for me on W10 build 17134.137. But I've never had an error like that with 3DM. So I don't have any ideas on how to fix it.

I'm on the latest Windows 10 as well but for some reason it just started with this error and I'd no idea what it was that caused it.. That said, after typing in -nosysteminfo and letting a test run through and then deleting that from the application, all of them worked (2001SE, 03, 05 and 06 that were having issues...)

So strange!! Sadly the Futuremark forums have been taken down and all that knowledge has gone with it.. So sad :(

0) Are you using latest versions (v330 is latest for 01SE, 3.6.2 for 03, etc.) ?
1) Wayback machine :)
2) Newest Visual C++ ?
3) dxwebsetup.exe found any "missing files" ?
4) GPU-z/MSI Afterburner closed (as in "not in the background") ?
5) Try to play around with "TdrDelay" value (in registry)

0 - Using the latest and greatest releases :)
1 - Using on X99 with Windows 10 latest release, Windows 7 was a lot kinder and faster lol
2 - If installed with the OS, yes sir :) Is there a way to find out?
3 - Not that I have found
4 - Only MSI, but that's never caused an issue before.. I have tried without, doesn't seem to make any difference, only with Heaven and Valley sometimes
5 - I'll have to have a look into that one :)

After that -nossyteminfo work around, it seemed to be fine, stupid PC's lol :)

Latest Visual C++ Redist. :
2005 : LINK
"The rest" : LINK

Thank you :) I'll try when I get home after work :)

22:08 EDIT - Tried the web installer, said that a newer version was already installed so no need to bother.. lol Not really of much help, but the others I will download and hold on my server for safe keeping :) I hate loosing stuff or more so forgetting were to get software or drivers that you need!
