Simple question, maybe. I am now start planning my new system setup on Zen 3/RTX 3080 full atx system and a small mini-itx as well in the same case.

But there are only space for one psu. There are Phanteks Revolt X 1200 psu that support dual systems.

So my question is, does any one know of other psu that support dual systems and what experience does people have with Phanteks Revolt X psu's?

II would have preferred thermaltake or seasonic as psu manufacturer. I have my systems for a long time, so I really need a psu that will last a long time. My current thermaltake psu is 11 years old now.

Well it is 80+ platinum, and i know its not a guarantee of quality, but cant be that bad.

Planning to buy one as well, from what i read revolt is built by Seasonic and their quality is solid.

Powered by Seasonic with 12 yr warranty

No it shut not be bad. The dam thing has 12 year warranty. But what does it help if the psu burns out and fry both the systems. I need to be fully sure this is top notch. There are hardware for a lot of money on the line, so psu is very critical.

If it's s true that it's build by seasonic, you can't go wrong. I also see that this psu has 12 year warranty and seasonic is funny enough one of the only ones that gives 12 your warranty on there psu. So there might be some truth about it. That something I need to investigate some more. If seasonic makes this psu, then I have no worries at all.

And yeah I know seasonic is the thing to get for quality. All throw my old Thermaltake has done a great job as well.

yup cant go wrong with seasonic, grabbing Enthoo 719 and Revolt X after 3090 burns my wallet

revolt X is a re-branded Seasonic Prime Platinum Ultra, the 1000w missed half a star from Aris so it's not perfect...but close

yup cant go wrong with seasonic,
S12iii, it's wrong

Funny that is the same case I go for as well :peace:, all throw i settle in with a rtx 3080. Buying a 3090 will not alow my budget for a dual systems then.

I see phanteks also say it's powered by Seasonic so yeah. That's settle this. I'm going for this psu.

That is a nice psu, the Seasonic Prime Platinum Ultra i mean. I'm going for the 1200 watt model. I want to be sure to have enough juice for two systems + overclock.

Don't fall for that falsehood. While Seasonic may be one of the best, no company can make perfection 100% of the time. Something can always go wrong, be it an extreme anomaly coming off the grid, a component failure in the PSU itself due to a manufacturing defect or impurity in the raw materials, abuse during transport or handling, or a connected component causing a cascade failure throughout the entire system.

This is why, regardless the quality of your system, you keep current backups.

Ummm, sorry but no its not. The Revolt X is "powered by Seasonic" but the two supplies are different. Besides the obvious where the Revolt has two motherboard connections, as noted in the overview section, it can power the two motherboard "independently" via "Phantek's custom PCB design".

And it makes sense it would power them independently and that that would take some sophisticated custom designs and layouts and not a simple "rebranding". Otherwise, the loads and the voltage regulation each motherboard imposes could affect the voltages supplied to the other motherboard, and vice versa. So one board would have to be isolated from the other - again requiring some unique circuitry (beyond just splicing in a Y-connector) and not a simple rebranding.

Interesting how that Phanteks is available in North Korea but not South, Ireland but not England, all of Africa except South Africa, Cuba and Venezuela but not the US or Canada.

A usual you post an incorrect opinion, and I have to correct you with facts from professional reviewers who are in the industry.

PSU market for quite some time now, and it finally did, using three Seasonic high-end platforms that appear to belong to the Prime lines. The two Phanteks PSU lines are the Revolt X and Revolt Pro

Based on the pricing scheme, the Revolt Pro units are most likely based on the Focus Plus Gold platform, while the Revolt X models use the Prime Platinum Ultra platform.

Come on, DF! I am trying to keep this debate civil but launching personal attacks just degrades the thread.

Where are these reviewers whose facts you claim to use? This Tom's HW CX650 review you cited earlier? It clearly shows how its Hold-up time was bad. It failed to meet the minimum the 17ms requirement (by a long shot! :() to be in compliance with the ATX Form Factor Standard.

As for your claim about my "opinion" about the Revolt X not being a rebranded Seasonic as you claimed - I did not post my opinion. I quoted Phanteks!

As seen here, it clearly says it is "Powered by Seasonic" and uses a "Phanteks' custom PCB design". And as anyone can see by the screen shots, it has two motherboard power connectors while the Seasonic does not. It can't be a rebranded PSU, if it uses a custom PCB and has different connectors.

Correct me with facts? The facts are, there is a huge difference between a PSU being "based on" another PSU versus being a "rebranded" version of the PSU. And the facts are, as stated in the ATX Form Factor standard for PSUs (See section 3.2.1, Table 3.2 and section 3.2.9), the 17ms hold-up time is required, "under all line, load, and environmental conditions".

Stay on topic.
Stop stealing the focus of the thread, that the OP has made, for your arguments and discussions.
The OP asked for info, not personal arguments... you have made your point, now move on or take the disagreement to PMs.

Thank You and Have a Great Day
