I think you probably could have gone with a 500w power supply. I don't think the video card you got nor any of your accessories would have pushed it anywhere near that. Just my opinion though.

yeah

ur right. i was going to get a 500w psu but then a freind offered me the 600w for the same price so i thought it doesnt hurt to have somthing that can be used again in the future.
overkill still gets the job done.:)

I'd have gone for 800mhz ram, since afaik the entire P5K board range supports it. But all said, that's a decent config. Dunno how much AUS bucks are worth.

converted price

it equals approx: $330 american
255 euro
$415 canadian
215 pounds

(if u want to know other currencies converted just ask. really do want to know wether i culd have done better)

250 euros is a decent price for that set imo.

My friend has that motherboard and it can't overclock even a 10% on the cpu. You might want to save up and get something a bit more flexible.

to tell the truth

to tell the truth im new to building computers and not really looking to overclocking anything just yet until i understand wat i need to know and speak to freinds.

That might be just that board, my P5K based board does fairly well...

Could very well be the case. I didn't mean to assume you would be overclocking, but just make sure you get a good return policy if it does not work out well. K mate? Just concern.

nah

its alright i plan to overclock somday. im a very much if i cant do it myself i dont want it done exspecially with computers cause i want to learn everything i can. and its probly good advice. i might look into getting another board if u can recommend one thats less than $93 aussie dollars. its just a freind recommended that board for my price range. im a poor bugger u see lolz

£215 thats quite good for that setup over here id have probably shot that budjet quite a bit looking for the same equipment

2nd

yeh as i said its pretty much all second hand from a mate so its pretty cheap. just wanted to know wat other ppl thought.
