The Razer Optical Mouse Switch
claims a 70 million click lifetime, but there are mechanical switches with longer life than this.

I remain convinced that the SR latch is the gold standard for debouncing although it seems to be rarely used
even though it is fast (things trigger on the first hit, so one does not need to wait for the bounce to end).

what i have found is that if the switch is feather touch it will fail on me for sure ( 6-18 month ), the ones on my current mouse are a little harder to press and lasted longer than any mouse over the last 12 years.
