Hey guys, just picked up a pair of Astro A10s and they really sound nice and feel great. Also was considering corsair void.

anyways, what would be optimal?

Windows at 100 volume and using the headsets volume dial on the cable (works independently from windows).

or

Headset volume dial at 100 permanently and adjusting volume via windows.

Thank you

With my external solutions, like my Aune T1 DAC/AMP that I currently use, I run the Windows (source) volume at 100%, and then use the external volume to adjust the output to my headphones. That's how I achieved the best results for consistent and easy volume control and what I would suggest you try here. :toast:

I've always found that the volume controls are overly sensitive when the source is at 100%.

There is no right or wrong here. Try it yourself and stick with what works best for you.

Really doesn't matter one bit.

Wow. Idk if I can truly answer such a complicated question. Go with Trial and Error method.

Personally I leave windows system volume fixed and I adjust with my wheel but I try to avoid 100% volume anywhere because I've noticed small amounts of whether it be distortion or static I don't know but I generally max out at 90%
