$100 is a running price for an 8800GT now, they are nothing on the 9800GTX which is $200 and the HD4850 which is $180.

I don't understand why 6800's and 1950's are still getting $75 on ebay... Lol, or how 8600s and 8800gs's are selling....

The 8800GT is about on par with the 4850...at least until ATI fixes the drivers.

Que? I went from a 8800GT to a HD 4850 and I can tell you its FAR from on par.

LOL, dude what benchmarks are you seeing .

Crysis I only saw a 5-10fps increase but everything else the 8800GT just doesn't touch real world performance.

Is that stock vs. stock? oc vs stock? oc vs oc? I haven't really looked into 8800GT vs 4850...and I do hope your next HD4850 doesn't need RMA'd man...that truly sucks! I'd say snag one of these 9600GT's if you had an RMA that was gonna take forever..at least something to give you performance, that 3650's gotta be kinda rough!

Yea I didn't oc the 4850 much since it was locked at 700mhz and the 8800GT I kept at stock. And I only had 110$ at the time or I would have gotten something better. They had a 8800GT for 180$ at best buy but that was the cheapest "gaming" card. The 3650 was 90$ so my friend got it for me cause he works there and he gets a discount. So I was gonna buy him something nice once I get my next check for being awesome!

I think you got me wrong. I was telling that guy that HD4850 is a lot better than 8800GT .

In what games? Most of the benchmarks I've seen show the 4850 to be only slightly faster.

4850's stomp 8800GT's flat into history... :toast:

9600GT price isn't too bad, I'm actually considering buying one to go in a second gaming box for my girlfriend to play a few games with me, and of course when a friend comes over, only need 1280x1024.
