Hi Everyone,

I have had my pc for about 3 years and when I first purchased it and set it up everything worked great. It was until I shut it down that i received the the error that it is Over Temperature Error! See image (20200403). I was young and dumb and decided not to take it back to bestbuy where I bought it at and decided to just role with it. I am able to shut it off for about 5 minutes when the message comes up and turn it on and it boots up perfectly fine. I never have an incident where I am playing games and it shuts off, only when I decide to do an update that requires a restart that it comes on, or if the update takes longer it will popup.

I ended up doing a realtemp test and these were my results... Are there any other tests you recommend me doing/ any other thing I should do to be able to get this error gone for good? Thanks in advance.

Have you cleaned the fans since you bought it?

Replace the thermal compound?
HSF screws tight?

Air cooled right? Wondering if the PC my have gotten bumped and jarred the heatsink off?

Regardless, I'd reseat the heatsink or something. 100c idle... yikes.

Make sure the fans are even rotating
