[WTB][US] PC2100 DDR RAM and 4pin to 4pin cd rom cable

PC2100 /2700 /or 3200 DDR RAM and 4pin to 4pin cd rom cable

A friend gave me an old GA 8IGX rev 1.1 motherboard for free since he was moving and didn't want it. He said it worked ok, but when I looked at it, it had a blown cap on it. So I just put a new one on and wanted to test it out to see if I actually fixed it ok. I will be using it for a cheap "practice server" for me to play with. I only need to more things to complete this and see if my repair worked and also to install (or try to at least) Windows server 2008 on it. I probably will crunch on it for shits and giggles as well.

- 2-3 gb worth of used DDR PC2100 / PC2700/ or PC3200 Desktop Ram for cheap. Brand or heatspreaders do not matter, I just need it to be error free and able to pass memtest.

-One of those 4pin to 4 pin cables for old school IDE CD Rom drives.

Something like that is what I need. They are about 4 shipped on ebay from US sellers, but figured I'd try here first to help with heatware a bit.I think I have one coming my way in a few days from someone

This may depend on the motherboard but PC3200 and PC2700 RAM should be able to work in there too. The only difference was the speed they were rated to run at, all are DDR. The PC2100 was 133MHz, PC2700 166MHz, and PC3200 200MHz.

Still need that RAM pretty bad though so I can test that computer out. The cd cable is not as urgent
 
The best I can do is four 512MB sticks of ram. IIRC I have PC2700 and PC3200 - make me an offer on them.
 
I have some PC2700 that you can have, just pay shipping. Will have to check to see how many sticks I have.
 
i have a few stick laying around too but all small capacities.
like 64, 128 maybe 256

i can send you the cable if you still need it, pm me your addy

Thanks a bunch for the offer, but I think I got the cable covered. A friend of mine is coming back up from southern Illinois and he said he's sure he's got one for me. I'll let you know if it doesn't turn out though:toast:
