Hi folks :)
I have some old Pentium 4 1.8ghz 256kb cache and mobo socket 478
this mobo has only AGP socket for GPU(agp), So can i put some PCI-e card trough pci-e x1 slot via Riser?
So I could use PSE graphics card on the motherboard with AGP Slot

If the MB has a PCI-e x1 slot a PCI-e X16 card should work, but i have neverd heard about Pentium 4 MBs with PCI-e, have heard ones with PCI-x, but that is a different matter.

Or do you wan to use a PCI to PCI-e converter?

If you have a stable hand and a small dremel bit, you can also notch the back of the PCIe slot on your board and just install the card. It'll run at PCIe 1X either way. This is recommended.

Or you can cut the slot pins off the card if you don't plan to use it for anything else as documented here (not recommended).

The safest will be using an adapter as you list above...but then you have extra wiring and mounting to deal with. More cost and hassle. Also yes you can use a PCI-e card on a MB with an AGP slot, you just won't use AGP you'll use PCI Express instead.

Never seen a board with AGP and just a 1X (short). Some transition boards have both PCI-e and AGP but not just s short one. But doesn't mean they don't exist

i want install my nvidia geforce 6600 (non AGP it's PCI-e x16 card) on mobo with only main gpu agp socket, because mobo has pci-e x1 slot ))
