Wow this means I gotta upgrade my Core2Duo... sux...
 
The support for 2.4 is going to be present for a full year. When 2.5 comes out, you could simply buy a cheap, passive, MITX board with Celeron on it and it will suit you good. For examplr this one. Cheap and simple.
