Hi. I am using a CoolerMaster CMP520 case that has a 3.5mm audio jack at the front, (presumably for a combined headset that comes with mic), and the standard speaker and mic jacks at the back.
I have been using the back jacks only, with a set of speakers and a lavaliere mic. However, I just got a set of headphones that has a detachable mic. I want to still use the lavaliere as it has higher sound quality, but the headphones instead of speakers when I want to.
My issue is that my computer is only viewing my sound input and outputs as 'Realtek High Definition Audio', when my headphones are plugged into the front audio jack.
This means that audio comes out only from my headphones, which I am fine with, but it is trying to use the mic of the headphones which I have already detached.
This means that I simply do not have a mic when I am using my headphones to play. Would like to know if there are any workarounds or methods for me to get my pc to recognise all my different sound devices as unique?
Just in case this matters I am on Windows 11.
Thank you!
